Hello, and welcome to our brand new blog for Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre. While we are getting started, we thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves properly to those who may not know us and for those who do, you may just learn something new about us.
Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre is a family run business, established over 25 years ago by Sarah Fitton BHSI (BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship). Whilst training for her BHS qualifications and working on various yards around the country to gain experience in the industry, Sarah agreed to help a family friend and local business man develop his small livery yard into a riding school in the heart of Kearsley, Bolton.
That small livery yard that started over 25 years ago is now Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre. We are a BHS Approved Riding School and Livery Yard, Pony Club Centre, base for the Eccles Sixth Form Centre Equine Studies course and run several projects for The Emile Faurie Foundation. We currently have 34 riding school horses and 26 livery horses. Our yard is also home to the Farm Shop and Ice Cream Parlour, The Farm Shop at Ryders, as well as The Atrium Cafe at Ryders Farm.
We teach horse riding for all abilities from ages 4+ and have a brilliant, friendly community of riders and friends of our Centre. We run regular events and competitions throughout the year with a very exciting calendar for 2020! We believe in helping as many people as we can to enjoy the sport of horse riding and enjoy the animals and experience we are so fortunate to be able to share with our riders and visitors.
We would not be who we are without the brilliant people and animals that we work with everyday. Our team, both human and horse, is the most important part of Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre and we are so proud of our wonderful team of coaches and yard team.
We have started this blog to be able to share more about our yard, our horses and our team with you all. Whether it be a rundown of our latest events, riding advice or horse care tips we aim to share our experience and knowledge to help everyone enjoy horses as much as we do! This blog is as much about you as it about us, we encourage you to get involved, share your thoughts and let us know what you would like to see next…
